Alphorn Week

Experience the legendary Alphorn Week under the direction of Robert Morgenthaler, Nick Gutersohn and Priska Walss. The Alphorn Week in the Valsertal aims to appeal to Alphorn enthusiasts of all levels. From the risk-taking fellow who has hardly ever blown into a hollowed-out tree trunk, to the experienced professional who wants to refine their technique, expand their repertoire or learn the art of improvisation. The level of the individual is addressed in group work.

Course: The bus takes us to one of the surrounding Alps at 8.30 a.m. From there we can reach the most beautiful spots on foot in a quarter of an hour. The group lessons take place in the morning and in the evening, and in between you have time to enjoy the thermal baths and discover the fascinating Valsertal.

Content: Musical communication, experiencing rhythm, learning and deepening breathing and blowing techniques, improvising and working on traditional alphorn literature are all part of what we offer. At the end we play an alphorn concert on the wonderful Vals village square.
