Course content

• Basics of photography:

  • Introduction to camera settings and techniques.

    • Shooting mode

    • Exposure triangle: aperture, exposure time, ISO

    • Lens differences and their effect

    • Creative use of depth of field, or exposure times

  • Composition and perspective: Learn how to compose impressive images.

  • Light and weather: Understand natural light and how to use it optimally.

• Practical sessions:

  • Guided photo tours to the most beautiful places in and around Vals

  • Mountain and landscape photography

  • Water

  • Night sky (if you are interested, night photography on Friday, as well as late Saturday evening from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.)

• Image editing:

  • Introduction to digital post-processing of your photos with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

    • Archiving

    • Steps in post-processing

 

Dates and prices

After some time without photography courses, courses are now planned again. The first is fixed:

 

Landscape photography course August 9th - 11th, 2024

Minimum 1 person, maximum 5 people

Course starts Friday: 5:00 p.m.

Course ends Sunday 4:00 p.m.

Price per person for the entire course weekend including 2 nights in a double room for single use with half board and course costs CHF 850.-
